JudgeCalc™ Terms of Service

Terms of Service

These terms are an agreement between you and Black Robe Solutions, LLC, a limited liability company organized in Florida (“we”, “us”), for the use of the free JudgeCalc calculator on judgecalc.com (“the calculator”). By using it you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use it.

1. A calculating tool, not legal advice

The calculator works out dates from the dates and options you enter. It does not give legal advice and does not replace your professional judgment. Court rules, calendars and closures change, and a date entered incorrectly produces a result that is wrong. You are responsible for confirming every date against the governing rules and orders before relying on it.

2. Using it

You may use the calculator for your own personal or professional purposes. You may not copy, resell or redistribute it, reverse-engineer it, use it for anything unlawful or to interfere with its operation, or remove our trademark or copyright notices.

3. Your information

The calculator keeps nothing you enter. The Privacy Policy says what happens to information when you use it.

4. Our property

JudgeCalc’s software, design, name and logos belong to Black Robe Solutions, LLC and its licensors.

5. Disclaimer

The calculator is provided free of charge, “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, or that any date it calculates is correct for your purpose.

6. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any damages of any kind, including missed deadlines, arising from your use of the calculator.

7. Indemnification

You will defend and indemnify us against claims arising from your use of the calculator in breach of these terms, or from a date you relied on without confirming it as section 1 requires.

8. Your suggestions

If you send us an idea for JudgeCalc, we may use it without owing you anything for it and without it being confidential. You keep no rights in anything we build as a result.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.

10. Where disputes are heard

Any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of the calculator will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Broward County, Florida, and each of us agrees to those courts having jurisdiction.

11. Changes

If we change these terms, we will post the new version here with a new effective date. Continuing to use the calculator after that is acceptance of the new terms.

12. The rest

If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force and that part is read as narrowly as it needs to be. If we do not enforce something straight away, we have not given it up. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between us about the calculator.
